Sahil S.R. Shah

Mr. Sahil S.R. Shah is an experienced strategy professional working across commercial
advisory, investment management, project delivery, macroeconomic analysis, public policy
and operations. He currently runs an independent strategy consulting practice that works
with leading organisations in development finance, impact investing, venture capital,
financial services and financial technology across East Africa. Through his work, he has
consulted and executed projects across the region for organizations such as the IFC,
Mara, World Bank, Tony Blair Institute, Merck KGaA, German Development Aid, African
Development Bank, KEPSA, KAM, Irish Aid, UNDP, Credit Suisse, DFID, Oxford Policy
Management, Msingi Foundation, Dawa Group, Central Bank of Kenya, Council of Governors
Kenya, Senate of Kenya, Ministry of Finance (Kenya, Rwanda, Puntland State - Somalia),
among many others.
He holds a BA in History (with First Class Honours) from the University of Bristol, a
Master’s in Public Policy & Management (with Distinction) from Strathmore University
Business School and is a British Council Future Leader Fellow of the University of
Cambridge.
He further sits on the Board of Boma PanAfrican, the investment holding company of the
Kenya Red Cross Society and the Board of UTI Industrial Park, a light industrial real
estate project based in Thika, Kenya.
